A Tale of Two Cities

A Tale of Two Cities

The comic is prolly vague. Here’s the jist of it. After having eaten some ice cream with a friend, we parted ways. I had an exam in a hour, so I decided to kill some time over at the compy lab. I sat down at a Mac (gasp!) and did the webby stuff I always do.

For no reason at all, I happened to stare past my monitor ahead of me. The girl sitting on the other side happened to do the same. So now we’re in that awkward stare, and for no reason at all, I decide to keep staring. Besides, I was looking in that direction first anyway. Lacking my resolve, the girl looks back to her compy. And still for no reason at all, I just keep staring forward. She looks at me, and looks away again. I think this goes on for about 2 minutes.

I guess she knew defeat was the only possible outcome for a battle with me, as she does get up to leave. She does leave, or at least tries to, but she comes back a moment later to dig through her bag. She then walks over to my side, puts a note by my mouse, and walks away.

And so my friends, in my hands right now, I hold the phone number of a girl I have not spoken once to nor know the name of. Heh.
