Now this past weekend, (of the 16th,) I went over to St. Louis with Jacobu and Bretto. We stayed over at Chris’, another friend’s house.

Bretto and I participated in a pizza eating contest over at Talayna’s, a restaurant near St. Louis. The challenge was to eat a 30 inch pizza with 5 meat toppings and drink a pitcher of soda within one hour. We failed gloriously. The feat is simply impossible. Brett and I barely managed to put away about a sixth before we called it quits. Our leftovers alone were about 25 pounds of pizza. I will have leftovers for days.

Went to see the Arch. The elevator (or tram) going up to the top is very small. Cost 10 dollars. St. Louis, unfortunately, is not a very picturesque city. It does not have many high rise buildings, and from the view at the top of the Arch, the only notable buildings are the two stadiums and the old courthouse. Don’t bother looking towards the East side. There’s nothing there. ‘Cept maybe slums.

Ate at the Feisty Bulldog near the Arch. Watched Brett put away several breaded whole catfish for the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat fish-and-chips.

Blargh.

Also roamed St. Louis downtown proper, played with Chris’ doggy, and sucked at a lot of pinball games.
