Today’s the day I let others eat my wealth away. I’m excited.

People say it’s silly to want to cook or buy things for other people on your own birthday.
I don’t know about that.

To me, my own birthday by itself isn’t really a special day. I see it as more of a personal Thanksgiving day. Whereas the actual November holiday is a time set aside for everyone to give thanks for what they have, I see birthdays as a personal day to reflect on the people who have carried me forth yet another year of mostly wonderful memories. So I do indeed celebrate, not for my own life, but rather for those who help me create it.

So while this is my view, I know it’s not everyone’s, so don’t worry. I’ll still buy you gifts on your day.

Also known as トレンヂア 無皇刃譚, is an Japanese animated movie from Studio Bones. For those of you in the know, they are the studio also responsible for works such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, and Ouran High School Host Club.

There was a special nationwide showing this past Thursday at select theaters. It was playing at one of the local places, so my friends and I decided to see it on the big screen.

I’m getting thinner. Weight’s still the same though. I’ve managed to slim my waist just enough so that my pant legs have started dragging along the ground. Kinda sucks that I noticed this after the damage was already done. D’oh.

And as for my birthday, I was baked a yummy key lime pie. I also got a juicer and a bag of carrots. Hah. Amusing.
