I thought about passwords a lot, but now I just use the same for everything unimportant (like free to play online games, forums, that kind of stuff) and for everything important I have passwords that are no words (like hu5$–D1 <– I don't use this one but it's like the ones I use).
The problem is, I once created a new password for my WoW-Account because someone in my guild got hacked. My computer was broken at that time so I couldn't play and of course I forgot the password (it was a strong one, as described above). The funny part is, that I visited a friend of mine about a week later and we wanted to play together (he had a second laptop) and that'S where I realised that I had forgotten my Password. The account got created by a friend of mine, so it still used his email adress (I was afraid to change it because I bought the account from him, although he only played 2 weeks and I played more than a year at that point). Well, it was like 2:00 am-ish so there was no way I could phone him.
But of course I knew his email adress. So I tried his "forgot-my-password-question". It was "what is my favorite food?" – I wasn'T sure, but I guessed and I was right. So I changed his password (I didn't know why I had to change it back then, that was 5 years before I had a cryptology lecture ^^), read the email from blizzard, changed my WoW Password again and could play.
I also sent him an email explaining why his password had changed but he said he was still shocked when he couldn't log in.
And I didn't even read the titles of his other emails, the first one was the email from blizzard.
