The bad thing about this comic is that it took so long to draw, but in reality it lasted all of maybe 5 seconds.

Took place on the bus ride home about 3-4 weeks ago. It was drizzling outside, and it made the bus floor a bit wet. The bus stopped hard, and inertia took over. I happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was definitely not graceful, but the person who saw the whole thing clapped once it was over.

So essentially, bus stops hard and she falls off the stairs, but grabs the pole as she does it. This makes her swing around it awkwardly. I catch her as she falls, but it makes me trip backwards towards the door. As I fall, I reach out to the pole next to me, and we swing around it maybe 90 degrees. My butt is now dirty, but nobody bashes their head or cuts up their knees. Yay.

Sat next to a girl on the bus ride back to Champaign the weekend before last. Let’s call her D. Struck up some conversation on books after she saw my book cover. Talked about this and that, and once we were nearing campus again, D asked me for some dinner before school started. At this point, I was feeling pretty badass, so I thought I would oblige her.

On the day of, I ended up canceling the dinner so I could hang out with Janu who had just come back into town and my other friends. I think the badassery wore out by then. She called me the next day to reschedule. This was essentially the conversation we had. And then D asked me anyway: Still wanna hang out?

It seems more girls are taking the initiative nowadays.
